ISC2 Colombo Chapter was formed in October 2011 by few key members holding the CISSP credential with the
blessings from Sri Lanka CERT|CC.
The ISC2 Colombo Chapter, our objective is to improve information security in Sri Lanka by providing
our members and other security professionals with the opportunity to share knowledge, grow professionally,
educate others, and work together on projects. Our chapter provides our members (who are working or have
close ties to Colombo) a forum to expedite the exchange of knowledge and ideas, development of leadership
and professional skills, and evolution of information systems security. We also provide our members with
access to a range of industry resources and educational programs to keep our members informed of the
latest advances in technology and practices.
Our members consist of information security professionals and ISC2 credentialed professionals who hold
either a SSCP, CCFP, CSSLP, CCSP and/or the CISSP. Our chapter is focused on sharing knowledge and exchanging
ideas among security professionals in Sri Lanka. Ultimately, we want to expand the field of information security
by educating practitioners and the public at large on how to protect and defend against security threats.
